e-Ink-based e-Books are quite cool: weeks of uptime, nice screen. This has the downsides - they don't have GSM/CDMA and screen update is really slow.
Connecting n900 to e-Ink based device (using USB, WiFi or Bluetooth) could alleviate such problems:
- the phone has GSM module, so it will be possible to download now content (either buying a books, downloading a free ones or fetching new feeds) to the e-Book during travel;
- the phone has full-featured keyboard and fast screen, so it's possible to conveniently manage contents of e-Book device.
Technical details: contents of e-Book device are exposed through ssh/sftp, including state of bookmanager and RSS reader, and managed by the application on n900.
