Instead of revision of the interface that promised actually we have just another skin with some additions. Now besides functional bugs (fb) I allow myself to point you to some visible defects of the usability (ub) as I can see it as a specialist. Let's go!
Overall UI
ub) Size of sliders are not conformed with actual length of scrolling.
ub) Texture of "carbon fibre" looks so dilettante in that way (especially when under strokes of the logo). And above this wide-meshed diagonal grid is totally incompatible with square structure of UI, so it quite hampers the usage.
ub) Heap of unorganized video-settings in Advanced section with terrible gap between columns looks absolutely disgraceful.
ub) Bar graphs will represent progress of the Achievements much better.
fb) Most of droplists in Instant Action setup is empty.
ub) Doubtful solution with double click in Main menu.
fb) Net stat and stat fps meters are unable to be switched off being activated in-game.
ub) Currently slumped buttons (esp. in Server Browser) should be arranged by its function.
ub) To get the Server Browser inda best online shooter of the world we have to click through 3 screens from start! (It is launched straight from main menu in UT2004).
Server Browser
fb) List of players can't be viewed in Favourites or History, but Players button remains there.
ub) Those homely thin borders around sections are redundant. Background contrast is quite enough.
fb) Number of players for unpatched servers are displayed incorrectly (e.g. "+13" for empty servers without bots).
fb) List of players for empty servers stays unchanged from last viewed server with players.
fb) Some ping values appears incorrectly (e.g. 140-300 against 20-50 ms in-game).
In-game
fb) Spectate button still can't be added.
--) Often the announcements is too late to be useful (e.g. the flag/orb has been already dropped/returned when the announcer says "just taken").
fb) Node teleports in Warfare doesn't work (tested on unpatched servers).
ub) Frames of player's label disproportionately stretches in height when displaying any info besides nickname and health. It's especially misshapen with speaker's sign and in the Betrayal. If it's impossible to draw special frames, additional info can be displayed above the label.
--) Riding a wing and back of Manta (like in UT2004) worked in Beta 1d. Sadly, now it happens be removed. However, such transfers looks useful for large levels with great MP. Alternate idea: number of spots for grappling can change against MP.
fb) Vehicle shadows are still visible through single walls and roofs.
fb) The Goliath can get over the obstacles like barriers and barricades.
fb) Greed: when scored in the last second of the game, you can fall through the storage on the base.
ScoreBoard
ub) Too massive and clumsy grafics in headers.
ub) Disproportionately stratched frame round the list of players (look at corner roundings).
ub) Sending a message by click on nickname you are passed through unnecessary screen with one button.
ub) Greed: weapon icon cut out poorly (with rough outlines).
I realize how much work has been already done and what the time remains before release but I'm deceiving myself with a dream that you'll find a moment to fix some of mentioned issues. Thank you and good luck!
